Protest tips
The protests happening all around the world but especially in the USA can become dangerous for your health very quickly, with the use of tear gas, rubber bullets and more. You can also get arrested and injured by (undercover) cops. Here are some tips for your safety! But first, if you are white, don't wear hawaiian shirts, that is what white supremacists are wearing to show violence during the protests.
1. Recognition of your face
(the recognition system relies a lot on bone structure on the face)
-Wear a mask!
-You can pat the part of the mask where your nose and chin are so it looks like it's a different shape
-You can wear dark-tinted sunglasses covering you brow bone
-You can wear a big hat covering your hair and forehead
-Cover piercings and tattoos
-Try using only one color of clothing and no patterns
-Face paint is also useful
-If you're feeling bold, you can shave your eyebrows!
2. Rubber bullets
(Police say it's not dangerous, but retired cops are saying that they simply are normal bullets with a thin layer of rubber, so they can still injure you very badly!)
-Wear swimming goggles or ski goggles
-Seek medical attention quickly if you are hit!
-If you don't see anyone who can help you with the rubber bullet situation, cover the TWO EYES so it doesn't do more damage
-I recommend learning about 1st aid and how to treat people who are badly injured before going to the protest
-Making sign out of wood can protect you from rubber bullets
3. Tear gas and pepper spray
-Do NOT wear contact lenses if you get tear gas in your eyes it will worsen the situation!
-Wear gloves if you want to throw tear gas canisters or kick them instead
-If you are pepper sprayed do not open your eyes and get away from the protest
-Don't wear makeup, it can worsen the situation if you are pepper sprayed
4.Random and more
-Always try to be in groups and NEVER GO ALONE it can be dangerous especially as a woman!
-Learn how to remove zip ties
-Have basic medical supplies, water and snacks on you
-Put aluminium foil under your clothes so you are protected from tazers
-Try covering the most of your body possible and tight clothes!
-Use flat shoes so you can run faster
-In America, you can legally pee in a cop car if you announce it ;)
-Don't wear clothes you wear often so you're not recognised in pictures
-Bring ID
-KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
